By bringing together Whereby’s video conferencing technology and Howspace’s collaborative workspace platform, it enables teams, departments, organizers, citizens, and other groups to not only share knowledge, converse, learn, provide feedback, and gain understanding, but it also allows members of a Howspace page to talk to each other, share screens, and stay connected.

By bringing everything into one platform, the inclusion of video conferencing within Howspace removes the need for teams to use multiple, disconnected tools for project management and discussion. And the integration is seamless, requiring no additional software, no technical knowledge, and works across all currently supported browsers and operating systems, which can be a challenge for other team collaboration platforms.

The solution requires no login and no external or additional apps.

The current implementation of Howspace Live allows for the creation of breakout areas and small team spaces, hosting video meetings for up to 50 people (12 with their video visible) without additional cost. The live video calls can be combined with all other Howspace features, including chats, votes and polls, lessons and exercises, documents, bookings, tasks, and more. Howspace is pleased to make Howspace Live available for Howspace trial users too.

Howspace Live also does not require a facilitator, unlike some other video platforms, which means that attendees can join and leave as they please – no moderation required. This makes it perfect for small events and working groups where the user is interested in participating in multiple threads.

“We’re incredibly excited to bring Whereby’s leading video meeting platform to all Howspace users, without the need for additional apps, login credentials, or training,” Ilkka Mäkitalo, CEO at Howspace, said. “By adding real-time communication to our asynchronous digital facilitation solution, we’re giving users the chance to co-work in ways that haven’t been possible before, or that have required disconnected systems.”

Howspace Live is available from today for all Howspace users at no extra cost.
