Security Industry Luminary Brings Decades of Strategic Management and Operational Experience to New Board Seat

TrueFort, the application and cloud workload protection company, today announced that Lane Bess, former CEO of Palo Alto Networks has joined its Board of Directors. Lane brings more than 30 years of operational experience building some of the biggest names in cyber security to the newly created seat on the company’s Board.

He joins current TrueFort board members Sameer Malhotra, CEO & Founder; Vinay Bassi, SVP/Head of FP&A and M&A, Nielsen; and Karthik Subramanian, Partner, Evolution Equity Partners.

Over the past few decades Lane has successfully launched multiple start-ups and helped build some of the most well-known companies in internet security. In addition to his work at Palo Alto Networks, leading the company toward its IPO, Lane was also instrumental doing the same for Zscaler in his role as COO. He has held key senior management positions at multinational companies including Trend Micro, NCR Corporation and AT&T. His security market expertise has made him a trusted advisor for many large enterprise CIOs and CISOs. Lane also serves as a Board Trustee at Carnegie Mellon University.
