Tech veteran Barney Silver joins Skytap as company sees sustained, heavy interest in migrating IBM Power workloads to the public cloud
Skytap, the industry-leading service to run traditional IBM Power and x86 workloads natively in the cloud, announced that experienced financial leader and tech veteran Barney Silver has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer to help guide its sustained growth. Skytap’s growth continues to accelerate as enterprises look to migrate business-critical IBM i, AIX and Linux on Power workloads to the cloud without the risk and complexity of refactoring or replatforming. Migrating these workloads helps customers extend application usage and value through access to cloud native services such as advanced analytics, AI & machine learning, and agile application development. As CFO, Silver will play a critical role in helping the company build on its momentum in revenue and customer growth.
