(ISC)2 Appoints Greg Clawson as Vice President of Sales and Marketing

20-year sales and marketing specialist strengthens executive bench, will support continued global expansion of association membership of cybersecurity professionals

(ISC)– the world’s largest nonprofit membership association of certified cybersecurity professionals – announced the appointment of Greg Clawson as vice president of sales and marketing. Clawson will be responsible for the association’s global sales and marketing strategies with a focus on the continued growth of the organization’s membership of certified cybersecurity professionals and sales of its cybersecurity education and training portfolios.

Based in Washington, D.C., Clawson will report to (ISC)Chief Operating Officer, Wesley Simpson.

Clawson has more than 20 years experience leading global sales teams selling solutions in the public and commercial marketplace. His experience includes developing business strategies, budgets and sales objectives, as well as leading and building sales and marketing teams.

Most recently, Clawson served as Senior Vice President, Aerospace Defense and Manufacturing Sales at Upskill – an augmented reality software-as-a-service platform start-up company – where he developed the annual business strategy, budgets and sales objectives.

Clawson served in the U.S. Air Force as a metrologist before working for the nonprofit Battelle Memorial Institute, where he started and ran the software improvement program that enabled the software organization to receive a high score on the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). He went on to lead the operations group and eventually transitioned to sales. Clawson then worked at Matrics, which was acquired by Symbol Technologies and then Motorola, before joining IoT start-up Time Domain, Inc. as its Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing.

Greg holds a bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management from Park University and earned an MBA from University of Dayton.
