Clyde Hires Grant Pollock as Vice President of Sales

The extended warranty platform has welcomed a new sales leader with a record of success growing sales teams at SaaS businesses selling to enterprise brands and retailers.

After four years at Salsify as the first Director of Sales and stints scaling sales teams at Smartsheet and ProfitWell, Grant Pollock has joined Clyde as Vice President of Sales.

“We’re impressed with his experience developing, mentoring, and scaling sales teams.”

“I couldn’t be more excited to join the Clyde team. I was impressed with Clyde’s success to date helping retailers drive growth and improve the customer experience by offering product protection,” he said. “I look forward to building a scalable, repeatable sales motion and developing future sales leaders at the company.”

Grant has spent the majority of his career in sales leadership building, scaling, and optimizing his teams for growth and success. Prior to joining Clyde, he held leadership positions at Salsify (a Commerce Experience Management platform), as the first Director of Sales, first Head of Sales at ProfitWell, and Sales Leader at Smartsheet Inc. During his tenure at Salsify, the company tripled its sales and grew from 37 employees to over 400.

“There’s a huge opportunity to improve the way extended warranties have been bought and sold in the past,” said Grant. “Clyde is seeing very impressive attach rates, which are around 4 times the industry average. Customers are seeing the value of a modernized purchasing and claims experience.”

“Grant’s experience selling to enterprise retailers and growing and scaling an enterprise sales organization will be instrumental in helping us better communicate the value of extended warranties to retail businesses,” said CEO Brandon Gell. “We’re impressed with his experience developing, mentoring, and scaling sales teams.”

The news comes after Clyde announced their $14 million Series A led by Spark Capital in April as well as their launch of a fully owned and licensed claims administrator.
