Convoso, provider of contact center software for sales and lead generation teams, announced recent appointments of three accomplished executives to the leadership team: Tom Smart, VP of Sales; Marin Sarbulescu, VP of Engineering; and Dennis Esguerra, VP of Customer Success. The new executives join an expansion of the company as it continues to build its management talent, charged with carrying out a robust growth plan.

Tom Smart, VP of Sales
Tom is an executive sales leader with expertise in solving business problems and selling both transactional and enterprise SaaS solutions. With over 30 years of experience, he has produced nearly $100M in sales from Fortune 500 brands, sports leagues, celebrities, and top agencies. Accomplishing two successful exits, he has founded and launched multiple start-ups, held leadership roles for top digital agencies, and most recently helped grow a SaaS software company to a successful acquisition by a private equity firm. Tom recognizes that people are the key to making things happen, and flourishes through mentoring and inspiring others to ignore traditional boundaries to become their very best.

Marin Sarbulescu, VP of Engineering
Marin is a hands-on tech executive with over 16 years experience building technology organizations for supporting fast growing small and medium-sized businesses. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Research & Development for Fuel Cycle, a market research cloud suite, in a nine-year tenure where he began as an integration engineer. There he built a solid R&D organization from scratch and helped the company grow its revenue six times. Prior to that, he provided leadership and direction in the Web Development & Online Marketing Department at Nobel Ltd where he developed and promoted new products and services, using innovative and aggressive web marketing techniques while holding full profit and loss accountability. During his seven years with Nobel, the company grew from 30 to 200 employees and from low eight to nine-digit revenue.
Dennis Esguerra, VP of Customer Success
Dennis is a highly skilled hands-on Leader of Customer Success with 25+ years of experience in both B2B and B2C start-up and publicly traded SaaS companies. With four successful company exits, he is a problem solver focused on strategic planning and execution. He is known for scaling high performing teams, increasing customer retention, expanding existing business through up-sell and cross-sell opportunities, and ensuring a customer NPS rating that is highly admired in the software industry. Dennis has served in leadership positions at Intuit, Crownpeak, and most recently OmniUpdate. He holds a Masters in Business Administration, Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Six Sigma Greenbelt, and honorably served as a U.S. Marine.
