Thomas Cornely Joins Nutanix as Senior Vice President of Product Portfolio Management

Industry Veteran Brings Over 20 years of Engineering Portfolio Management Experience to Nutanix

Nutanix, a leader in enterprise cloud computing, announced that it has appointed Thomas Cornely as Senior Vice President of Product Portfolio Management. In this role, Cornely will be responsible for creating a seamless portfolio that provides a consistent experience for all of our customers and partners.

“Cornely brings a breadth of knowledge and experience in multi cloud infrastructure software with a focus on data protections, unified storage, networking and data management,” said Tarkan Maner, Chief Commercial Officer, Nutanix. “He will be a key player, working closely with our engineering, sales, partner and product and solution marketing organizations as we continue to expand our portfolio while staying focused on the customer.”

Cornely’s responsibilities will include building an integrated, simplified and frictionless portfolio for our customers. To build on the award-winning customer experience that Nutanix is known for, Cornely will work to bring together licensing, packaging, pricing, cross-product discoverability, in-app recommendations, notification centers, observability, offers and consumption vehicles for large customers.

Cornely brings more than 20 years of experience and most recently joins us from Rubrik where he was Vice President of Product Management. At Rubrik he led the Data Acquisition product management team across on-premises and cloud. Prior to Rubrik, Cornely was the Chief Product Officer at Nexenta Systems where he led product management and engineering organizations, and was responsible for the company’s product strategy, planning and delivery. Before that, he held product leadership positions on scale-out analytics databases and big data platforms at Greenplum (acquired by EMC), all-flash storage at Violin Memory, and cross platform storage and availability management software at Symantec. Cornely holds an MBA from MIT – Sloan School of Management and a Masters in EECS from CentraleSupélec in France.
