Tawheed’s appointment follows Marketo’s acquisition of ToutApp, founded by Kader who will now focus on shaping the engagement platform
Marketo, Inc., the engagement marketing software and solutions provider, appointed Tawheed Kader as group Vice President (VP), Strategy and General Manager (GM) of Engagement Applications.
The appointment follows Marketo’s acquisition of ToutApp, a leading sales engagement software platform, which was founded by Kader. Under Kader’s leadership, ToutApp grew from a startup to a multi-million-dollar business used by more than 100,000 salespeople and over 400 enterprise customers worldwide.
“I am honored to join Marketo’s incredible leadership team, which is redefining engagement and charting a bold course forward,” said Kader. “Our combined expertise in sales and marketing engagement will empower chief marketing and revenue officers around the world to engage more authentically with their customers through one complete platform.”
Tawheed will report to Marketo’s Chief Operating Officer, Greg Wolfe who joined the company in February 2017. Wolfe commented: “I am thrilled to welcome Tawheed to the executive leadership team, where he brings a proven track record of entrepreneurship and a passion for driving engagement. In his new role, Tawheed will ensure that our customers successfully build authentic and lasting relationships with their buyers by enabling seamless engagement across sales and marketing and the entire enterprise.”
Kader will focus on shaping Marketo’s position as an Engagement Platform while ensuring its vision around the Engagement Economy is at the core of the company’s activities. Additionally, he will work cross-functionally to drive the thinking and success of applications for sales enablement, account-based sales and marketing, and pipeline generation as part of the Marketo Engagement Platform.
Prior to founding ToutApp in 2011, Kader spent three years as an enterprise technologist at hedge fund Bridgewater Associates. He had previously worked as a product manager at Plaxo, Inc., which acquired HipCal.com, an online calendar company founded by Kader. He has a double degree in computer science and management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.
